This spring has been very interesting indeed! We had two weeks of warmth, sunshine and summer like temperatures. The grass started looking neon green, plants and trees started budding, and my bulb flowers were in full bloom. Then last week, the temperatures dropped, storms hit, we had a tornado touch down close to where I work yesterday, and there was snow falling today! Oh my goodness! I pray the blossoms will come back since they didn't even have a chance to shine in their glory. Welcome to spring in Indiana!

Joel caught on to my hints and presented me with a digital camera for my birthday! I haven't been able to put the camera down since! You now are able to enjoy a better glimpse into our lives since I have figured out how to download the pictures onto the computer. You will see that I have many pictures of our pups posted...just know that I have only picked a few of the best, and there are many more I will spare you from seeing!!!:) Come visit often, because I love taking pictures!!!

Today is my birthday and I was able to spend it however I pleased! I lounged in bed, made myself a yummy breakfast and lingered over a pot of coffe while watching the morning shows (Today, Martha Stewart, Ellen), then changed into my workout clothes and enjoyed an hour workout at the Y, made a simple, healthy lunch, then soaked in the tub until my fingers got pruny, lounged in my bathrobe and read my County Living magazine, styled my hair and finally got dressed for the day (3ish)!!! Joel came home early from work and we took a walk around Eagle Creek with the dogs...I forgot to mention that it's 70 outside! :) Then we went out to dinner at a restaurant right on a huge reservoir (makes me feel close to CA). A birthday isn't complete without friends and some sort of dessert...we had small group and that is a birthday present in itself! I have been longing for friends here in Indy and am finally able to form some close relationships! Another special treat is that Grey's Anatomy is on Thursday nights, so I enjoyed that, and then being able to snuggle with my sweet husband all night long! What a perfect day!

This past weekend, I drove to St. Louis and picked up my first of 3 friends flying in for a 3 day weekend reunion! Carlie flew in from Seattle, Alison flew in from Mass, Christin left her 4 mo. baby with the hubby and flew in from Ok, and Meesh drove over from KY! We crashed my in-law's house, and enjoyed hours of talking, eating yummy meals both homemade and eaten out, watching movies, driving through a wild animal preserve looking for elk, bison, and deer, oh my! The weekend was a blast and so fun to keep the relationships strong! We are already talking about next year! :)

A couple weeks ago, my P.T. said I was finally getting strong enough to get a gym membership and do the leg press and leg extention to continue building muscle mass in my right leg. The rest of my body was in need of some exercise as well... sitting around all summer didn't help with the waist-line! I searched around and decided to join the YMCA. We have one right down the street, which makes it very convenient. A Y a couple miles away has a pool which I can use, too. I am excited about putting my cap and goggles back on to swim! I am also excited about building up my puney right leg!
